Team information

Participating in the Primary Fitness Games is a thrilling opportunity for schools to showcase their students' athletic abilities and team spirit. Here's what you need to know about forming and managing your team:

Team Composition

Each school enters two teams of 5 student/athletes (total of 10 students). Currently, we are hosting teams of ONLY GIRLS.

Depending on the type of workout, athletes will participate individually (one at a time), in pairs or all 5 athletes at the same time.

Consider selecting students with diverse strengths to cover a variety of skills within each workout challenge.

Team Strategy

Before each workout, teachers and athletes should discuss the optimal order of participation.

Consider each athlete's strengths and the specific demands of the workout.

Be prepared to adjust your strategy on the fly if an athlete needs to swap out due to fatigue.

Athlete Roles

Competing Athletes: All 5 athletes will actively participate in each of the workouts. However, depending on the type of workout, it could only involve one athlete at a time, pairs or all the team of athletes tighter at the same time.

Waiting Athletes: When a workout only requires one athlete or two athletes at-a-time, the rest of athletes will wait in their box. They should always be ready to step in whenever needed to either compete (as all the athletes HAVE TO have a turn in every single workout) or help with equipment movement.

Preparation

Familiarize your team with the workout formats and exercise standards.

Practice quick changeovers, time management and efficient communication.

Encourage athletes to support and motivate each other throughout the competition.

Team Spirit

Consider creating team cheers or motivational phrases to keep energy high during challenges.

Emphasise the importance of SPORTSMANSHIP at all times within the members of your team as well as with all the competitors.

Remember, the Primary Fitness Games is not just about individual performance – it's about coming together as a cohesive unit to achieve a common goal. Emphasise teamwork, support, and positive encouragement to make the most of this exciting experience!
